Local Ecology and Agriculture Fremont (LEAF)
LEAF is a community garden at the California Nursery Historical Park in Fremont’s historic Niles district, where volunteers use permaculture methods to grow food for donation to the TCV Food Bank. In addition to operating community gardens, we also propagate veggie seedlings for sale through local retailers and directly to LEAF members.
LEAF is a purpose-driven nonprofit volunteer organization dedicated to regenerating the land using sustainable gardening practices and to inspiring our community to nurture the earth.
LEAF Urban Gardens serve as living classrooms for educational programs that empower local residents to garden and to live sustainably. Every year we celebrate Earth Day with the City of Fremont in downtown Fremont.
LEAF Urban Gardens cultivate nutritious biocide-free produce for underserved communities and LEAF Community Gardens in downtown Niles has planters for rent to the public so they can grow their own food.
