Union City Family Center

FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER: Our welcoming, friendly resource center is a one-stop location for families to connect to needed services in a convenient location.

SCHOOL-BASED SUPPORTS: We provide school-based supports for New Haven Unified School District students, including afterschool enrichment, Family Service Assistants to promote engagement, student attendance, and other vital needs. We partner with community based organizations to provide social-emotional and mental health services at schools.

ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT: Our partners provide financial coaching services for families and individuals, apprenticeship and vocational services. We help families to address transportation and childcare barriers to employment.

NUTRITION, HEALTH & DAILY NEEDS: We provide food, hygiene supplies, household supplies, and a clothing pantry. Our partners support students with vision and oral health care; a health center at Logan High School; a mobile clinic and health enrollment. We help housing insecure families navigate services.

INFANTS, TODDLERS & CHILDCARE: We provide families with early childhood resources. We host a toddler center for storytime and socializing. We provide diapers and vital resources for families, and childcare resources for summer and aftercare.

PARTNERSHIPS: We host regular partner meetings that encourage the leveraging of resources across Union City and beyond, while enhancing each partner agency’s ability to meet their service goals.
