Category
Description
Today MPHF is primarily involved in the history at Shinn Historic Park and Arboretum. House tours and special events are the focus today. The Shinn House has a library, archive, and museum that features the Shinn family histories.
As originally founded, the Foundation’s purpose was to preserve those historic resources which represent the heritage of Alameda County’s Washington Township. The township formally included the towns of Warm Springs, Mission San Jose, Irvington, Centerville, Niles, Newark, Decoto and Alvarado.
