Fremont Parents’ Nursery School
Established in 1961, Fremont Parents’ Nursery School (FPNS) is a parent-run, not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing a high quality preschool experience for children ages two through pre-K. FPNS relies on the commitment, involvement, and enthusiasm of participating families to create a strong sense of community.
As a parent-participation preschool, FPNS strives to nourish and strengthen families as well as their children. Parents participate in the daily program on a rotating basis, serving as assistants to professional nursery school teachers. This allows parents to share in, contribute to, and support their child’s first educational experience. A key goal at FPNS is to support children cognitively, physically, socially, and emotionally as they develop at their own pace.
Our classes follow a gentle routine which gives structure to each day and gives the children a sense of security in knowing what to expect next. The teachers create a rich environment, incorporating the advantages of hands-on-learning and discovery through play and peer interaction, combined with integrated age appropriate learning activities.
